Noisylion Natural Cassava Cat Litter – Unscented, Low-Dust
Details
Noisylion Natural Cassava Cat Litter is a plant-based, unscented litter made from cassava starch — the root behind tapioca pearls. No perfume, no clay, no mining. Just a plant-starch granule that forms rock-hard clumps and lifts out clean every time.
Key Benefits:
- Rock-hard clumping — clumps come out whole, so less clean litter goes in the bin with every scoop
- Zero added scent — no perfume, no floral masking agents. Just the neutral smell of cassava
- Serious odor control — baking soda and blue volcanic rock work on ammonia at the source
- Plant-based, not mined — cassava is a renewable root crop, not strip-mined bentonite
- Low dust when pouring — plant-starch granule, not crushed mineral
Specifications:
- Ingredients: cassava sand base (wheat, cassava and corn starch with quartz sand), baking soda, blue volcanic rock
- Granule size: approximately 2 mm (soft and sand-like)
- Scent: unscented — no added fragrance
- Clumping: yes, very firm
- Disposal: scoop into household waste. Not flushable.
- Recommended fill depth: 3 inches (7 cm) minimum
How to Use:
- Fill to 3 inches (7 cm) minimum — 4 inches for multi-cat homes. This is the most important step.
- Scoop once or twice a day — clumps firm up within minutes
- Top up weekly to bring the bed back to depth
- Use a rigid scoop — these clumps are genuinely hard; a flimsy scoop will bend before the clump does
- Switching from another litter? Transition gradually: 25% new → 50% → 100% over 7–10 days
If a clump ever sticks to the bottom of the pan, that’s a depth problem, not a defect. Add litter and the next one will lift clean.
FAQ:
- Does it track? Yes, some — fine 2 mm granules travel on paws. A mat in front of the box catches most of it. This is not a low-tracking litter and we won’t tell you it is.
- Can I flush it? No — scoop into household waste. Not flushable.
- Is it dusty? Very little when pouring — plant-starch granule, not crushed mineral.
- Is it safe if my cat licks its paws? Plant-based with no added fragrance. As with any litter, made to be dug in, not eaten. Kittens under four months should use a litter formulated for kittens.
- Why does it cost more than clay? Cassava is a farmed crop processed into a granule; bentonite is dug out of the ground. Harder clumps also mean less litter leaves the box per scoop — the cost per week is closer than the cost per bag suggests.
- Those blue flecks? Crushed Borichi volcanic rock — about 1–2% of the mix. Porous mineral that traps odour inside the granule instead of masking it with perfume.
